Grimrock

I think this must be a bug. I'm at the earth shrine, I have five gems and placing four of them on the altar does nothing:



I can put all five there, still nothing:



This is a regular game, no ironman or anything like that, on normal difficulty. Steam version, up to date. Tried quitting and reloading. I've allready collected the fire, water and thunder essences and placed them on their pedestals in front of the castle entrance. Only need this last one to get in. But it just won't happen. What gives?

Each shrine can produce one essence for it's own element. Looking at your characters gear and them being level 13 you should be by far past the Shrine of Earth. Which essences did you fuse up to now?

You're right and I'm an idiot. I've allready activated that shrine. I've marked the shrines I've activated on my map to keep track, and I'm certain I marked this one too. I'ts actually not the first time I've noticed my map markers disappear sometimes. So when I looked at the map to see which shrine was unmarked I saw this and naturally assumed it was the one I was missing. Oh well. Move along, nothing more to see here.
