Grimrock

So... I just got to level 6 where when you first go down the stairs and there's a large giant that charges you.

So. This happened.

BASICALLY. This is what happened.

I saw the giant the first time, freaked out and went back upstairs then I had the master idea that I'd just go downstairs, fire some shots at him, go back up, and so on and so on; until he died. Well... Next time I went down, I shot a Shuriken at him (can't get it back now. ): ) and as he was charging, I started to go upstairs, but as that happened he like... clipped through me? And I ended up going out into the floor instead? The door then closed behind me, trapped the giant.

At first I thought this was part of the level, and kind of a; "Hey, good thing you didn't have to fight this thing now.". But I talked to a friend of mine that has already completed Legend of Grimrock and he said he fought and killed this fellow.

So... Have I screwed myself over and does this guy drop some kind of really important item? Or is there anyway I can open that gate again?

That gate will open again when you open all the locked gates, ie complete the level. Then you can bash him up.

I was pretty worried there for a bit, haha.

Don't forget about him, though. You do want to go back and loot his corpse!

And yes, it can get pretty weird, if he stands in the stairs when you move down, standing inside him and all.
