a bit stuck

ello all
still near the start of the game. the statue that needs 2 eyes. got the blue gem but now stuck
gate to get out in front of me (the same as i came in)
switch on the floor & switch outside the door
standing on switch my side does nothing

am i missing something?

I think you're right to use the spoiler tag because when you say you're stuck people don't know if you're ahead of them or not.

Leave something on the pad then flick the switch

If it's the bit I'm thinking of... and you're trapped inside with a grate and you have picked up the blue gem. There is a rock button on the wall if you turn right from where you got the gem
